About Totally Humanistic

The image to the right is Sankofa. Its literal translation is:

"It is not taboo to go back and fetch what you forgot".

Sankofa informs us that at times we must go back in order to move forward. We should when necessary reach back and gather knowledge, so we can achieve our full potential as we move forward. Hence, whatever we have lost, forgotten, forgone or been stripped of, can be reclaimed, revived and preserved.

The name 'totally humanistic' has come out of the belief that we need to engage the human being in their totality. Only through this can change take place. As aresult diversity and universiality is at the heart of the philosophy of 'totally humanistic'.

We should as human beings strive to free ourselves of constraints, which may have been digested by us as children such as - you won't amount to anything! Or to be able to tackle challenges which we have to overcome now - I can not stand my job and I feel trapped!

Looking at yourself as a complete whole, getting an understanding of the full range of emotions we experience, to celebrate and revel in our uniqueness, and share our journey and commonality is the key to the door of discovery of the self!

Let us work together to break the chains that hold 'me' back!
